Are Stori candles safe?

Yes. Every Stori candle is handcrafted using premium ingredients selected for both performance and safety.

Our candles feature:

• Premium phthalate-free fragrance oils
• Natural wax blend
• 100% cotton wicks
• Handcrafted Jesmonite vessels designed for candle use

As with any candle, always follow the care and safety instructions provided before burning.

How long should I burn my candle?

For the best performance, allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface during the first burn whenever possible.

Avoid burning any candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

How should I trim the wick?

Trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch (6 mm) before each burn to encourage a clean, even flame.

How do I burn my candle safely?

Always:

• Burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
• Keep away from children and pets.
• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Keep away from drafts, curtains, and flammable materials.
• Stop burning when approximately 1/2 inch (12 mm) of wax remains.

Why is there a hidden Stori Tile inside my Chapter candle?

The collectible Stori Tile is intentionally embedded within the wax and will gradually be revealed as your candle burns.

Please allow the tile to reveal itself naturally.

Do not dig into the wax or attempt to remove the tile while the candle is burning or the wax is hot.

How do I remove the remaining wax?

Once your candle has completely finished burning and cooled:

1. Allow any remaining wax to fully harden.
2. Place the vessel in the freezer for several hours or overnight.
3. Gently loosen the remaining wax with a wooden or silicone tool. The wax should release easily.
4. Wipe the vessel clean with a soft cloth and warm, soapy water if needed.

Avoid using sharp metal tools, which may damage the vessel.

Can I reuse my Jesmonite vessel?

Yes.

Your vessel is designed to become a lasting keepsake. Once cleaned, it can be displayed or repurposed around your home.

Future Stori refill options will include instructions for preparing and reusing your vessel.

Is Jesmonite food safe?

Our Jesmonite vessels are designed specifically for decorative candle use and home décor.

They are not intended for direct food contact unless specifically stated on the product.

Will my Jesmonite vessel look exactly like the photos?

Because every vessel is individually handcrafted, slight variations in color, texture, and natural air bubbles are part of the character of each piece.

These variations make every Stori piece unique.

Can my Jesmonite vessel get wet?

Occasional contact with water is fine for cleaning.

However, prolonged soaking or placing the vessel in a dishwasher is not recommended.

Always dry thoroughly after cleaning.

Is the vessel heat resistant?

Yes.

Jesmonite is naturally heat resistant and suitable for candle vessels when used as intended.

However, the vessel may become warm during use. Always allow it to cool completely before handling.

What should I do if my candle tunnels or burns unevenly?

Minor variations are normal.

Allowing the wax to melt close to the edges during the first few burns helps promote an even burn throughout the life of the candle.
